Bryan Yadon
Bryan was born on May 19th, 1968 in Fullerton, California. At the age of 3, he moved with his parents to Orem, Utah, to be closer to his extended family. At the age of 8, Bryan's Grandfather, Frank Stratton (founder and owner of Tour West Whitewater Adventures), introduced him to River Running by taking him down the Salmon River and Colorado River (Grand Canyon & Cataract Canyon).
At the age of 14 Bryan began boatman training and he guided his first trip through the Grand Canyon at the age of 18. Since then he has logged over 200 river trips. In 1989, Bryan began guiding snowmobile trips with High Country Snowmobliles in Park City, Utah. During his career Bryan has logged thousands of snowmobile trips in several states.
In the spring of 2003, Bryan and his partner Mike Glenn created Intermountain Guide Service (IGS) and on July 4th began operations as a concessionaire of Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, offering Fly-Fishing, Horseback Rides, and ATV tours.
Bryan lives in Salt Lake City and has 4 children. Bryan hopes that his efforts as a father, guide, and social worker will provide loved ones and many others with quality experiences in the outdoors.
"It is satisfying for me to watch people decompress over a matter of hours or days while guiding them through some of the most beautiful country in the world."
When you call Intermountain Guide Service you will speak with me, I look forward to talking to you!

Mike Glenn
We drove somewhere (I still have no idea where) into the mountains of Northern California where we found a small lake about the size of a football field. We launched the whaling vessel and commenced in what I like to call the "trout massacre of 1973". By the time we were done we had 20 or 30 fish in our bucket. As we made our way back towards the Jeep, we talked about the upcoming fish fry and how happy everyone would be when they saw how many we had caught. As we were getting out of the boat, my Grandpa lost his balance and tipped the boat over just enough to dump the gas can for the trolling motor, right into our bucket of fish.
My fishing adventures continued to bring many great moments in my life, some hilarious and some not so hilarious. However, it was not until my twenties that I rediscovered the fly rod. My grandpa had a couple of old glass fly rods but neither one of us had ever been too serious with them.
When he passed away in the early nineties, I was left with one of those old glass rods, which still hangs on my wall at home. I met my good friend Bryan Yadon in the winter of '91 when I started guiding snowmobile trips out of Park City, Utah. He had been guiding whitewater trips through the Grand Canyon since the eighties, so it didn't take long for me to pick up on what made the difference between a good trip and a great trip.
I started guiding fly fishing trips out of Sundance in '93 and have personally guided between 100-130 fly fishing trips per year since then. I have had the pleasures of fishing with some of the most accomplished anglers in the world; along with a huge number of first time fly fishers.
In the summer of 2003, Bryan and I became business partners with the opening of Intermountain Guide Service. Our guiding service is compiled of some of the best guides in the western United States and if you've been with us before, you already know why we have a majority of return guests. With our several years of guiding experience, we have formed a guiding service that specializes in one thing-You!!! See you on the water.

Vern Christensen
Vern was raised on a small family farm in the middle of Orem, Utah. His Dad was leading him around on the back of a horse before he could walk.
Growing up in these circumstances, Vern learned the value of hard work at a young age. Being the youngest son, he soon had full responsibility of animals, fruit trees, hay and vegetables. He, in turn, raised his three sons in the same manner, living a mile down the road.
As a child, Vern participated in many youth oriented equestrian clubs and won many ribbons and medals. He started training (breaking) horses in his early teens and still enjoys the process of taking a young colt and training it to be an easily rideable horse.
Vern has always loved working with people, especially if he has the opportunity to cook them a full Dutch oven meal. It is quite a treat to spend a few nights in the wilderness with Vern, to enjoy the peacefulness and serenity of nature.
Vern is also quite a character and tease. But most importantly, the horses and Vern have a mutual respect for each other and he is able to create an atmosphere of fun and excitement while still maintaining calmness for all.
As an outdoor guide Vern is dependable and responsible. He is one guide who can be trusted with anyone and will always take care of everyone else before himself.
