The hangar is part of the Historic Wendover Airfield, which includes a museum, flight tower, barracks and officer’s club, and was a training site for crews that dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan. In early December 2005 at the governor’s conference on tourism held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Intermountain Guide Service was presented with the Governor’s Tourism Development Award for the providing guided ATV, Horseback, and Bonneville Salt Flat Tours in West Wendover, Nevada.
